Jeff Sherry and Rich Nielson founded the law firm to assist banks, lenders, small businesses, local government and individuals with real estate related legal services. The firm focuses on foreclosure bankruptcy and transactional work.
Nielson & Sherry is known for making the deal happen with professional integrity and business acumen. Our staff is responsive, knowledgeable, and energetic. We use many of the latest advancements in technology to benefit our clients.

Historical Preservation in Newport, Kentucky
The Nielson & Sherry offices are located in three adjoining recently restored 1870’s mansions in Newport, Kentucky’s East Row National Historic District. The district contains an excellent collection of late 19th and early 20th century urban house styles. The area is significant not only for its quality and quantity of residential architecture but also for its display of the evolution of styles during this period. As Newport was subdivided from the 1870s to the 1920s each successive block going from west to east was developed with the prevailing architectural designs of its period. Nielson & Sherry’s current office building is an example of Italianate architecture.

Involvement in the Community
At Nielson & Sherry, we believe that it is our corporate responsibility to give back to our community.
Local Community Housing & Support Services – Nielson & Sherry’s attorneys and staff have consistently donated time, materials, and money to local family and housing support services. Our attorneys and staff participate annually in the Brighton Center’s holiday Adopt-A-Family Program.
Our attorneys have volunteered extensively with projects related to inner-city housing redevelopment, public housing redevelopment (HOPE VI development), and non-profit and government programs encouraging home ownership for lower income families.
